New NICU Dedicated in Honor of Marron and Manginello Families

Valley’s new, expanded, Level III NICU at The Valley Hospital was recently dedicated in honor of two families’ significant contributions to its past and to its future – the Marron family and Dr. Frank Manginello, who led Valley’s neonatology program for more than 40 years before his retirement.

Dr. Manginello, who served as Valley’s Director of Neonatology and Medical Director of the Kireker Center for Child Development, was celebrated at the ceremony by current and former NICU staff members, and even patients who he cared for many years ago.

The 22-bed Marron-Manginello NICU cares for Valley’s tiniest and most vulnerable patients and supports them and their families through their earliest and most challenging days. Nearly 450 newborn infants are cared for in Valley’s NICU each year.

Thank you to Peter and Martha Marron; Edward and Patricia Marron; and Dr. Frank Manginello and Barbara Manginello for their tremendous impact over many years.
