Anne and Alvis Pauga to Support Valley's Future with a Bequest
8/30/22
Anne Pauga is proud to have served The Valley Hospital for 14 years. As a Registered Dietitian, she worked as a Manager in the Nutrition Department; as a volunteer, she helped to raise money for the Hospital as Chairperson for The Valley Hospital Auxiliary Employee Branch.
Both Anne and her husband of 52 years, Alvis, have a personal connection to Valley as well, having utilized Valley for their own medical needs, and for the lifesaving care Alvis received 18 years ago. "Valley has always had a very good reputation," Anne says. "All of our doctors are associated with Valley. The resources and team of providers available are excellent, and the cutting-edge treatment Alvis received was instrumental in his recovery."
After many years of loyal philanthropic support, the Paugas have included a bequest to The Valley Hospital Foundation in their will. "We wanted to make a meaningful gift and give Valley a portion of our estate," they say. "It makes us feel good to know that by supporting Valley, we are supporting the future health care needs of our community."
For Anne and Alvis, the bequest will help Valley's excellent patient care to endure. "We feel fortunate to be able to support Valley's new hospital in Paramus and help continue Valley's legacy as a great, high-quality place for care." They encourage others to consider a gift to support "this top-notch hospital that one day you or your family might need. This is for the future."
