A Long History of Support From The Valley Hospital Medical Staff

12/1/2020

For nearly 70 years, the members of the Medical Staff have been ardent and dedicated supporters of Valley. Their philanthropy goes back to the early days of the hospital, when Valley opened its doors in 1951, supporting the visionary concept of a hospital in Ridgewood.

Today the Medical Staff continues its generous support of Valley with its commitment of $200,000. This gift will support The New Valley Hospital in Paramus, the President's Azzara Scholarship program, a donation to the Compassion Fund and a contribution that will help purchase a portion of the annual holiday gift for employees.

"Each aspect of this gift is so important: the new hospital in Paramus is a vital platform for the health and well-being of our community; the President's Azzara Scholarship speaks to the importance of continuing staff education for the benefit of our patients; the Compassion Fund helps those in crisis; and we are very pleased to be able to assist in providing a gift to all the hard working employees at Valley," said Dr. David Montgomery, President of the Medical Staff. He added, "This is truly a combined expression of our appreciation of Valley."

David Bohan, Vice President and Chief Development Officer at The Valley Hospital Foundation added, "We are very grateful to the Medical Staff for its continued generosity toward Valley. Their support provides a wonderful example to the community of the commitment of Valley's own medical professionals in providing exceptional healthcare to our community and philanthropically supporting its efforts."
