Rare in today’s healthcare environment, Valley has a unique opportunity to build, from the ground up, a state-of-the-art campus in Paramus to meet the region’s present and future healthcare needs. The campus, anchored by a new acute-care, 370-bed hospital, will offer a sophisticated and easily accessible health and wellness destination for the entire community and further enhance Valley’s already strong reputation. Rounding out the campus will be the Luckow Pavilion, medical offices, extensive green space, and potential future retail businesses to serve patients, families, and staff.
It is estimated that every hospital job created supports two additional jobs, and that every dollar spent by a hospital creates nearly two and a half times that amount in additional economic growth.
Not only will the new campus represent a significant investment in healthcare for the community, but it also promises to be an important economic engine that will create jobs and business opportunities in Bergen County and beyond. Data from the American Hospital Association points to the economic benefits of healthcare investment.
Building upon Valley’s longstanding commitment to giving back to the community, the new campus will deliver health education classes, free preventive screenings, community outreach programs, and support groups. Valley will also partner with local organizations that support the health and wellness of their community.
The current Ridgewood campus will continue to serve the community and be an integral part of the Valley Health System continuum of care. Opportunities are currently being explored to repurpose the current facilities in a variety of ways, including as ambulatory and outpatient services, same-day surgery, senior care, and business functions.
